the baseline
a free 7 day practiceYou said you weren't doing this again.
So how did you end up back here?
a free seven-day practiceFor catching what happens between knowing what you want and talking yourself out of it.
You know the thing you said you were going to change…
Maybe it’s the boundary you were finally going to hold, the conversation you know you need to have, the thing you keep saying you’re done with, or the choice you already know you want to make.
And for a minute, you mean it.
Then, someone reacts. You feel guilty. The timing gets inconvenient. You start wondering if you're making too big of a deal out of it.
All of a sudden, a very reasonable explanation enters the chat. And somehow, the thing you were so clear about three days ago is up for discussion again.
Nothing huge happened. Nothing that should’ve changed your mind.
You just got talked out of your own answer by... you.
Most of the time, you don’t even realize that’s what happened.
You notice weeks later when you're resentful again, months later when you're having the same conversation, or the next time you look around and think: How the hell am I back here?
But by then, you’re looking at the aftermath.
I want to catch you earlier.
Before the resentment. Before you’re having the same conversation again. Before three weeks have passed and you’re trying to figure out how you ended up right back where you started.
Because what would change if you could catch yourself before you did the thing you swear you’re done doing?
That’s where The Baseline begins.
you didn’t change your mind for no reason
You probably already know the big pattern.
Maybe you hear yourself say, “Sure, I’ll go,” when what you really want is to stay home and watch your favorite show. You stay longer than you want to. You put yourself at the bottom of the list and swear next week will be different. You know what you need, but still ask three other people what they think before you trust yourself enough to do it.
Knowing the pattern isn’t necessarily the problem. There’s usually a whole conversation between: I know what I want. and Okay, maybe just this once.
Something makes you uncomfortable, and almost immediately your mind starts building a very convincing case for why later is the better choice. It happens so fast you’ve gotten used to missing it.
And if we only look at the choice you eventually made, it’s easy to decide the problem is that you need more discipline. Better boundaries. More confidence. Maybe you need to stop overthinking everything and finally follow through.
Except you already had an answer.
Something happened between knowing what you wanted and changing your mind.
What happened?
What did you know first?
What made it negotiable?
What did you tell yourself next?
See why I’m interested in the middle?
Because once you can catch that part while it’s happening, you’re not three weeks down the road trying to figure out why you did it again.
You can notice the guilt. The reaction. The excuse. The moment just this once starts sounding extremely reasonable. And then you get to decide what you want to do with it.
Maybe you keep your original decision. Maybe you change your mind.
But this time, you’ll know you chose it.
That’s the baseline.
You, in real-time. For seven days, we’re going to pay very close attention to her.
the structure
Think less “seven-day challenge.” More field study on your own behavior.
We'll begin with a live opening gathering on September 20.
From September 21–26, a short practice will arrive in your inbox each day, helping you notice what happens between knowing what you want and choosing what's familiar.
You'll also have access to a private Telegram group throughout the week for check-ins, reflections, and voice notes from me.
Then we'll come back together live on September 27 to integrate what the week showed you.
No giant overhaul. No perfect streak required.
You might catch yourself doing the exact thing you said you weren't going to do. Good. Now you have information.
Once you can see where your answer starts changing, you have a chance to do something different before you’re back in the same place again. The goal is seeing the pattern clearly enough that you finally have a choice, not how quickly you can change it.
You can't shame yourself into self-trust. Getting curious will take you a hell of a lot further.

THE BASELINE
HEY, I’M BETHANY
For the last decade, I’ve worked with people in the seasons of life that don’t come with a map.
Grief. Relationships changing shape. Endings that weren’t supposed to happen. Decisions that keep getting reopened. The strange in-between where nothing looks wrong, but something in you knows life can’t keep looking exactly like this.
Sometimes you come in knowing exactly what you need help with. Sometimes all you can say is, I don’t know what’s happening, but I don’t feel like myself.
Both are welcome here.
My work blends intuitive guidance, energy healing, ritual, and the kind of pattern recognition that helps us notice what’s actually happening beneath the obvious problem.
I’m not here to hand you a better answer than your own. I’m here to sit with you long enough to hear what’s underneath the noise, make sense of what you’re moving through, and help you find your footing again.
The Baseline is one expression of that work. A place to get curious about the moments you usually miss, so you can understand yourself more clearly before deciding what comes next.
